Royal Stoke University Hospital has recently had four brand new Living Skies installed in the radiotherapy ward. This follows an installation in the critical care unit earlier in 2019.
The moving ceilings intend to distract patients who are undergoing cancer treatment. Working with University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, which funded the project, we are delighted to help towards improving the patient experience.
The radiotherapy service manager, Carolyn O’Donavan, said “The ceilings really make a difference to our patients. We have had lots of positive comments about them and people even take pictures to show others. They also provide a welcome distraction during their treatment.”
